1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using GearProfile, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

GearProfile is a web-based involute gear profile generator that allows users to design gear profiles and export them in SVG and DXF formats. The service offers a free preview mode and a paid Pro subscription with full export capabilities.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.

4. Subscription and Billing

• The Pro plan costs $4.99 per week, billed automatically.
• Payments are processed securely by LemonSqueezy. GearProfile does not store your credit card details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
• Pro accounts include a fair-use limit of 100 exports per 24-hour period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers.
• Circumvent usage limits or access controls.
• Resell or redistribute access to the service.

6. Intellectual Property

The GearProfile application, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of GearProfile. You retain full ownership of the gear profiles you generate using the service. You are free to use your exported files for any personal or commercial purpose.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

GearProfile is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• The generated gear profiles will be suitable for any specific application.
• Exported files will meet specific manufacturing tolerances.

You are solely responsible for validating gear profiles before use in manufacturing or engineering applications.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GearProfile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to GearProfile in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
• Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the timeline described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of GearProfile after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
